Its leaves are green and hairy and have fine lobes that give them a delicate, feathery appearance. The flowers grow in clusters on spikes that shoot out from the top of the plant. WebWhile common and western ragweed can grow up to 4 feet tall, giant ragweed can reach heights of 15 feet. This said, ragweed is very commonly found mowed to just a few inches high as it is common in many lawns, alleyways, etc. Because ragweed grows well on disturbed soils, it is often the first thing to show up after a disturbance.
